Pakistan

Titre : Mitigating the Effects of Climate Change (Pakistan)

Pays  : Pakistan

Date/Durée : 2019 – 2021

Projet ID : PAK 1098-19

Description
In Pakistan’s rather dry south-east, people are suffering from the effects of climate change, which are being clearly felt there in the form of droughts and flooding. This project focusses on training local authorities in climate-smart agriculture so that they can advise local small-scale farmers on topics such as resilient crops (e.g. beans, millet, and sesame) and how to cultivate them. Other objectives include overcoming malnutrition and making the population itself more resilient. The project is also developing innovative ideas for small businesses and market access.
