We are working to strengthen the national organic network in Senegal by contributing to the creation of new jobs and additional revenues in the organic sector.

Objectifs
* FENAB is established and recognized as the national organisation for the promotion of organic agriculture and is able to offer services in accordance with the needs of the members. * FENAB, together with its member organizations, is strengthened in its organizational and professional capacity and can perform its tasks better. * A demand-oriented and competitive portfolio of ecological agricultural consulting and training services is built up at FENAB. * FENAB fulfills its role as representative of the interests of its members and does advocacy for organic farming towards the government (lobbies the government for organic farming.

Description
The mainly small-scale farming sector in Senegal suffers from poor general conditions such as depleted soils, partly caused by improper use of fertilizers and pesticides, irregular rainfall, recurring droughts, as well as overgrazing and deforestation. Organic agriculture can contribute sustainably to food security and income generation in accordance with social-ecological principles. PROBio aims to strengthen the national umbrella organisation for organic agriculture, FENAB, so they are able to offer services in accordance with the needs of their members and other stakeholders in the sector.FENAB will bring together the various stakeholders in the organic sector with the aim of creating and improving organic value chains from producer to consumer for both domestic and international markets.
