In response to the crisis in Yemen, UNDP has partnered with the Social Fund for Development (SFD) to support financial security, access to healthcare (including psycho-social support), and the delivery basic services. Project activities prioritize inclusion of women, youth and other marginalized groups. Project activities improve household incomes ; restore basic healthcare facilities ; strengthen psycho-social assistance ; and equip local authorities to plan, coordinate and monitor priority service delivery more effectively.

Project activities are designed to :
* Enhance financial security through income-generation activities and upgrading or replacing the necessary tools used for work and resources.
* Improve access to healthcare services (including psychosocial support) and infrastructure through community-based projects and provision of equipment.
* Strengthen the ability of local authorities to deliver basic services through better planning, coordination and monitoring.
* Assist the most vulnerable communities and households to access public services and social safety nets.
* Encourage inclusion of women, youth and other vulnerable groups in community develop
