Résumé
Phases I, II, III and IV of this project were emergency phases aimed at securing the site. In July 2007, the World Heritage Committee, at its 31st session held in New Zealand, defined the benchmarks to achieve a "Desired State of Conservation" enabling the removal of the site from the List of World Heritage in Danger. The overall objective of phase V is to conserve the cultural heritage of the Bamiyan Valley, in order to promote culture for the sustainable development of Bamiyan and the construction of a peaceful situation in Afghanistan.
