Résumé
Water is a critical asset in the Sahel and faces several challenges chief of which are the impact of climate change, natural disasters such as flooding and demographic pressures arising from migration, overutilization of underground resources and poor management. Concerted and responsible management of country and cross-border water resources is essential to promote peace and security and to encourage conservation and production practices adapted to the context of climate change. Particular attention will be paid to building skills that help improve data, water quality, IWRM in general and management of flooding. The activities will respond to SDG Goal 6, targets 1, 3 & 5 ; Goal 13 targets 1 and 13b Furthermore, they will respond to AU Agenda 2063 Aspiration 1, bullet 18.
