Résumé
This study was carried out in the experimental area of Faculty of Agriculture, Osmangazi University in 2011-2012 growing season under arid climatic conditions. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance and stability of two-row barleys (Özdemir-05, Kalaycı-97, Ġnce-04, Hilal, Konevi-98, BeyĢehir-98, Karayat-94, Aydanhanım, Zeynelağa ve Tarm-92) for yield and some yield components, and to reveal the effectiveness of yield components to yield. In the study, barley cultivars were tested for plant height, the number of grain per spike, spike length, spikelet number per spike, grain number per spike, grain weight per spike, thousand seed weight, test weight, harvest index, protein content and seed yield. Besides, relationship between cultivars and yield components were examined by correlation, stability and path analyses. Results revealed that having better performances, Kalaycı, Zeynelağa, Hilal, Konevi 98 and Tarm 92 cultivars were determined as stabile cultivars Besides, spike number per m2, seed weight per spike, test weight, thousand seed weight were found as the most effective characters on yield. Having high yield and quality, better stability, Özdemir, Kalaycı and Zeynelağa cultivars could be used to meet demands of hay yield for animal production and industrial malt needs.
