Résumé
and degradation and climate change are escalating challenges that affect human societies on a staggering scale. This project combines social, economic, and ecological aspects to explore the feasibility and potential of ecological restoration as an Ecosystem-based Adaptation approach to climate change and land degradation. The project shows that restoration is possible in the studied system, and restoration may have the potential to increase the adaptive capacity of the people vulnerable to climate change. A framework for using restoration as an Ecosystem-based Adaptation strategy is proposed ; one that will incorporate trait-based approaches, soil health assessment, community perception and restoration cost.
