Objectifs
The broad objectives are :
1) To study the groundwater quality from the different bore wells and dug wells of
the area to investigate the variation in the physicochemical characteristics of
groundwater and to find out if groundwater is polluted or not.
2) To study the potability of groundwater by demarcating potable and non-potable
zones.
3) To study the groundwater quality with reference to irrigation purpose.
4) To find out the lateral and vertical extent of pollution, if any.
5) To find out topographic control on the quality of groundwater, if any.

6) To observe geochemical variation between shallow aquifers and deeper aquifers,
if any.
7) To find out whether the groundwater is affected by industrial discharge in region
or by human activity,
8) Recommend, if possible measure of mitigation.
