AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
1. The working of Commercial Banks, Regional Rural Banks including Cooperative banks regarding their social obligations, developmental achievements and challenges in various fronts had been appraised. 2. The micro-credit planning and lending strategy of credit institutions had been assessed. 3. The impact of micro credit on income and employment generation of weaker section with emphasis on women beneficiaries had been evaluated. , 4. The extent of poverty eradication by providing micro financing had been studied. 5. A SWOT analysis of micro financing had been carried out and an effective action plan to improve the performance of the same had been suggested.
