Résumé
This study is devoted to assess the diversity of and suggest conservation
management measures for the avian fauna in Agra Region. To meet the research study
goal, first the habitats of Agra Region are analyzed to identify the value of ecoresources in the study zones. Next the diversity of Aves at these sites is analyzed. This
analysis helped in developing strategies for Aves conservation.
Major Findings The main contribution of this thesis to the wildlife is : - Comprehensive baseline inventory of avian diversity and their habitats at Agra region ; - Formulating the strategies and action plans to conserve the formal and informal sites ; - Design and development of the AC-DSS which will help the wildlife stakeholders in making effective C&M decisions ; - 4 Models : HAE Portal, ADA Model, TAss Model, and ADC Model ; and 2 research methodologies ; - Finding an eco-region (Braj Eco-region) which can play a major role in conserving the wildlife ; - An effort to integrate three disciplines : Wildlife, Computer Science and Operations Research ; - Contribution in Environmental Education and Awareness. These findings may help the wildlife stakeholders in appreciating the avian diversity of Agra and to be a part of conservation.
