The objective of present research pertains to the study of "Comparative studies on the Primary and Secondary Metabohtes production by some Parasitic Angiosperms and their Hosts of arid zone of Rajasthan grown in vivo and in vitro." The study comprises the comparison of primary and secondary metabohtes production of Cistanche tubulosa Wight and Orobanche cernua Loefl. var. nepalensis DC Prodr. and their Hosts. These were collected from different locahties of Bikaner, Hanumangarh, Sriganganagar. Cistanche tubulosa Wight and Orobanche cernua Loefl. var. nepalensis DC Prodr. belongs to the natural family Orobanchaceae. Both parasitic plants are total root parasite infesting a large variety of hosts plants, that are commonly reported in the natural plant communities of the semi-arid and arid zones of Rajasthan comprises in Indian desert.
