Objectifs
The following objectives have been framed : 1. Collection and monitoring of groundwater samples (drinking and irrigation sources) from different locations of Malwa region, Punjab using Global Positioning System (GPS). 2. To understand the hydrochemical processes and mechanism controlling groundwater chemistry. 3. To study metal content and risk assessment of collected water samples. 4. Toxicological characterization of water samples employing mutagenicity and genotoxicity assays. 5. Phytotoxicity characterization by studying alterations in the levels of enzymatic and non-enzymatic components.
