Objectifs
The following objectives are the foundation on which the present study is based. 1. To study the distribution of markets and their internal organization as revealed by market participants. 2. To search out the origin and evolutionary process ofmarket centres. 3. To examine the spatio-temporal synchronization by applying the method of R.H.T. Smith. 4. To study the consumer behaviour in respect of the space-time selection or choice of the markets and to analyse the trader behaviour in terms of his travel pattern. 5. To analyse the complementarity of regulated markets in the hinterland of traditional markets. 6. To study the hierarchy ofmarket centres and their significance in the regional economy
