Objectives of the study
The present study has been undertaken with the following objectives 1. To explore the general medicinal values of herbals and its importance in the current scenario. 2. To study the profile of the study area. 3. To analyze the awareness of the farmers relating to medicinal values of herbals and various schemes and subsidies of the government. 4. To focus and analyze the awareness about various production and marketing problems faced by the herbal farmers.

The study is presented in six chapters. 1. The first chapter deals with Introduction and design of the study. 2. The second chapter describes about the profile of the study area. 3. The third chapter covers the general scientific aspects of herbals. 4. The fourth chapter deals with the awareness on production problems of the herbal farmers. 5. The fifth chapter contains the awareness on marketing problems of the herbal farmers. 6. The sixth and final chapter contains summary of findings and suggestions.
