Titre : Studies on certain aspects on the cultivation of jatropha jatropha curcas

Descriptif
Jatropha produces flowers mainly at the apex of the branches, and hence
the number of branches mostly decides the number of inflorescences. Increasing
the number of branches can therefore be considered as an option to improve
flowering. The possibility of improving the yield of the seed of jatropha by
manipulating the flowering and fruiting behaviour through the addition of specific
nutrients are one of the research areas worth pursuing.
Hence experiments were designed in this work to evaluate
i. the effect of cowdung application along with different irrigation
schedules on biomass and seed production
ii. the variation between the application of inorganic and organic
manure on the seed production
iii. the effect of foliar spray of boron on the seed production
iv. energy efficiency
v. water footprint
