Objectifs
The present study intends to focus on salinity and changing land use and land
cover pattern in Haryana with special reference to Rohtak district. Keeping in view
the above problems the following objectives were framed –
1. Characterization of saline soils of Haryana (Rohtak Distt.) for
standardization of different salt concentrations.
2. Isolation of salt tolerant microbes from saline soils and their Morphological
characterization.
3. To study the impact of salt stress during germination and early seedling
growth in different varieties of Mustard seeds.
4. To study the effect of salt tolerant microbes on growth and mineral nutrient
uptake of mustard plant grown in pots under various salt conditions.
5. To study the yield of Indian mustard in presence and absence of salt tolerant
microbes
