Objectifs
The basic objectives of the present study are as follows : i. to examine the water resources availability in terms of its time and space characteristics in southern Haryana ; ii. to examine the change in magnitude and rate of depletion of groundwater in southern Haryana ; iii. to examine the impact of discharge and recharge pattern, ecological factors, cropping pattern and water quality on groundwater depletion ; and iv. to suggest various groundwater management strategies on ecological, institutional and technological aspects.
