Objectifs
Though much work has not been done in this watershed area, an assessment on the extent of utilisation of ground water resource has to be made. Over exploited and under utilised area has to be delineated,
To collect, review and analyse all existing relevant data pertaining to watershed study in the proposed area from the Central and State organizations dealing with water resources,
To collect all the physiographic data of the study area, to have an overall knowledge of the hydrogeological conditions and to delineate various sectors.
To collect the rainfall data from the study area from all possible sources and assess the extent of infiltration, ru
_ To quantify the ground water draft and likely changes with different scenarios of development and management,
To identify possible ways of sustainable management of water and possible limiting constraints on water availability with developmental activities
To establish mechanisms for long term monitoring of water resources.
To digitize and integrate the various layers by using Geographical Information System (GIS)
To identify ground water potential zones and area suitable for artificial recharge and recommend an optimum method for proper conservation and management.
