Résumé
The specific objectives of the present study are s i) To analyse and map the spatio-temporal distribution of irrigation facilities, ii) To observe the pattern of physical and demographic factors that have a bearing on the introduction and expansion of irrigation, i,ii) To assess the effect of irrigation on the use of mechanical and bio-chemical inputs, iv) To analyse the impact of irrigation on landuse in general and cropping pattern in particular, v) To examine the pattern of irrigated area under main crops in terms of share of each crops in gross irrigated area.vi) To investigate the impact of irrigation on crop productivity.
