Rajasthan is one of the India’s largest States and has cause of loads of river classification. Chambal is the only constant river of the state, which enters Rajasthan at Chaursigarh, after commencing from the northern angle of the Vindhya Range. These rivers flow down the eastern border sandwiched between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh fed by its branch. The Chambal River runs into north direction and at previous it link the Yamuna River. Hence, this revise is designed to quantify the effect of climate change on hydro-meteorological variables in different spatio-temporal scales (for whole MP and Chambal River Basin) with specific objectives to (a) study the temporal and spatial variability in precipitation and temperature for MP ; (b) analyze trends in various hydrometeorological variables i.e. reference evapotranspiration, temperature, wind speed and relative humidity, precipitation and stream flow in the Chambal River Basin ; (c) study the association of El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) with precipitation and stream flow in the Chambal River Basin ; (d) study the spatio-temporal variability and forecasting of drought in the Chambal River Basin ; and (e) derive local-scale climatic variables (precipitation, temperature and stream flow) of the Chambal River Basin by employing statistically downscaling technique using Global Climate Model (GCM) output.
