• to examine the structure of Agricultural Marketing in Andhra Pradesh • to assess the production and productivity of groundnut in Andhra Pradesh in general and in Anantapur district in particular • to study the market arrivals of major agricultural commodities in to the selected regulated markets in Anantapur district • to analyse the income and expenditure of regulated agricultural markets in Anantapur district • to identify the problems and prospects of groundnut marketing in the selected agricultural markets 18• to study the perception of groundnut growers and traders including the market functionaries regarding he performance of regulated agricultural markets • to suggest suitable measures for efficient marketing system for groundnut in the rain fed area like Anantapur district
