Objectifs
The umé main objectives of the study are : 1. to analyse the monthly, seasonal and annual rainfall characteristics of the Kurnool district, 2. to study the decadal variations and trend of rainfall on seasonal and annual basis, 3. to study the occurrence of droughts, intensity, decadal variations in droughts and spread, 4. to study the ground water resources based on the ground water level variations, ground water fluctuation, rise and fall in ground water level, ground water recharge and ground water potential of the district and 5. to study impact of drought prone area programmes for optimum utilisation of land and water resources.
