Résumé
In this research a hydrological model has been created for semi-arid urban areas with significant urban irrigation and water management. A framework around the extensive WRF-Hydro model was created to simulate urban irrigation. Land-cover, impervious surface satellite data, soil characteristics and temporal model output are used to daily calculate urban irrigation. Calibrating irrigation on spatial evapotranspiration data significantly increased the models performance during arid time periods. Calibration on streamflow is performed as well as a sensitivity analysis on two main model parameters and on urban irrigation. While urban irrigation does affect streamflow, the conclusion that urban irrigation significantly impacts flooding could not be made
