Résumé
An investigation on genetic analysis of drought tolerance in recombinant inbred lines (RILs) of groundnut was undertaken during summer 2012-13 and summer 2013-14 at MARS, UAS, Dharwad. Significant genetic variation was observed in RILs studied as evidenced by wider range and moderate to high PCV and GCV for most of the quantitative, root, oil quality and foliar disease resistance traits studied. High heritability and genetic advance as per cent of mean were recorded for all root traits and foliar disease resistance traits studied and for most of the quantitative traits and oil quality traits. Correlation analysis during the two seasons indic ated that high RWC at 30 days after stress, low SLA at 30 days after stress and high SPAD chlorophyll meter reading, increased root length and increased root to shoot ratio have contributed for high Drought Tolerance Index and for maintenance pod yield under stress condition. The superior RILs identified for pod yield per plant under WS condition were 2, 26, 27, 40, 43, 45, 49, 50, 53, 70, 179, 181, 212, 215, 261, 265 and 296. Linkage mapping with 71 SSR markers resulted in map of 399.04cM with 13 linkage groups and 5.96cM inter-marker distance. Among 233 QTLs identified through Inclusive composite interval QTL mapping, 12 QTLs for quantitative traits, three for physiological traits, six for root traits, 23 for oil quality traits and 25 for foliar disease resistance traits were found to be major QTLs. The m13TC39C01V-Gm2215F (52-57cM) region on LG-3 (57.79 cM) harbored 19 QTLs for 14 different traits of which four traits viz., number of primary branches per plant, number of secondary branches per plant, number of nodules per plant and root dry weight were stable across two or more conditions out of the two water regimes and seasons.
