Résumé
The objectives of this research are : A. To evaluate the effectiveness of a solar still in removal of contaminants found in ground water, particularly for removal of heavy metals like arsenic and the degree of disinfection simultaneously achieved and comparison of treated water with drinking water standards. B. To identify arsenic-tolerant plant species and check its potential for bioremediation of arsenic-enriched wastewater. C. An on-field study to validate the effectiveness of a solar still and phytoremediation for drinking water supply and sanitation in a village of India.
