Résumé
The experiment was conducted at the Sericulture Research Unit, Department of Agricultural Entomology, Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani, during Sept- Oct 2015 in Randomized Block Design with Six treatments and four replications. Disease free eggs of silkworm hybrid (CSR2xCSR27) X (CSR6xCSR26) were procured from CSR& TI, Mysore. The treatments were six mulberry varieties viz., V-l, Kanava-2, S-13, S-36, BER-776 and BER-779 ; Observations on the different economic traits of silkworm Bombyx mori L. were recorded. The findings of the present investigations are summarized as below. The higher 10 matured larvae weight (41.05 g), lower larval duration (22.06 days), higher single cocoon weight (2.07 g) and lowest disease incidence percentage (7.75 per cent) was recorded in mulberry variety V-l among tested varieties and larvae fed on leaves of BER-779 (36.45 g) showed lowest 10 matured larvae weight among all the other variety of mulberry tested. The highest single shell weight was recorded in the larvae fed on leaves of V-l (0.45 g) and lowest by BER-779 (0.40 g) variety of mulberry. Significantly highest Cocoon filament length (1060 m) was recorded in the larvae fed on leaves of V-l and lowest on BER-779 (926 m) variety of mulberry Shell percentage (21.76 per cent) was observed highest in the larvae fed on leaves of V-l and the lowest shell percentage on S-13 (22.61) variety mulberry. The results concluded that the significantly highest cocoon yield (17.73 kg) was obtained in the variety V-l, whereas the lowest yield was obtained on BER-776 (15.03 kg) variety of mulberry
