Résumé partiel
The subject-matter of the research is the impact of agro-ecological and soil conditions of
Podunavlje and Posavina on morphological and productive properties of Khorasan wheat (a
population of the white awn). The investigations were conducted during the course of two
years (2015 and 2016). The field trials were carried out in a randomised block design on two
soil types (chernozem and wetland black soil) during two meteorologically different years.
Having increased the amounts of NPK mineral fertilisers used in side-dressing, variations in
the morphological and productive properties, namely kernel yield components, were studied.
Laboratory analyses of the agro-chemical and physical properties of the soil were conducted
prior to setting up the experiment, and in the period from sowing to harvest, meteorological
data with the highest impact on the growth and development of this plant species were
studied. The indicators of the morphological properties were measured directly on the
samples, whereas the indicators of the productivity and the harvest index were measured after
drying of the main product and by-products. At the laboratory of pharmacognosy, the amounts
of starch, total protein, cellulose, total lipid, mineral salt and water in dry matter were
measured and NFE was calculated.
The obtained results show that Khorasan wheat can be introduced successfully into
agricultural areas in Podunavlje and Posavina, although the investigated treatments, both
uncontrolled (agro-ecological and soil conditions) and the controlled ones (NPK fertilisers)
exhibited statistically significant variations in the morphological and productive properties of
this small grain.
On the whole, the morphological and productive properties as well as yield components were
mostly affected by side-dressing, which shows a good genetic potential of the wheat
population in question as a cultivar suitable for cultivation, but also for further breeding. Its
interaction with soil and weather conditions shows good productive properties of Khorasan
wheat, a cultivar that should be introduced into regular commercial production in Serbia
