Résumé
Since the beginning of the seventies, a period of regime change in Libya in 1969, the country has witnessed an economic recovery, which resulting in a steady rise in population and thus steady rise in demand for which led to urban expansion on the agricultural area surrounding the cities and the consequent of clear changes in the different land uses. These changes are increasing year after year, especially after the mid-seventies, due to rising incomes and rising standard of living and improved health and educational services and others. During the past number of decades, the pattern of life in the Tripoli region has been transformed, with particular focus on local culture, which has felt the impact of global culture. These changes have brought about new aspects and patterns to life in the city. This study explain the facts that contributed to today’s level of development of agricultural production in Aljafara plain, which also known as (Jafara), classify the significant factors of development that affect changes in land use, and enable the understanding of the impact of rural-urban conflict in the agricultural factor of this space. It’s determined the current level of agricultural transformation and predicts the future direction of changes in agricultural production in the peripheral areas of Tripoli region. The inevitable transformation of the current state of agricultural development in the suburban areas could be controlled and function in the future progress of society, where the relevant potentials would be appropriately used, and the production systematically organized. Aljafara region has developed and urban expanded in various areas, like the rest of the Arab capitals and global, which associated with the development and growth of economic activities on the one hand, and high rates of population growth and social transformations on the other hand, that had a clear impact in the expansion of urban growth and spread around the city in all directions. This development has contributed to increased demand for intensive land uses to balance this expansion, which extended to beyond the limits of a city planner. The research area is composed of the settlements in the administrative region of Aljafara. The study provides new insights on agricultural developments
