An investigation was carried out to study the distribution of exchangeable cations and available micronutrients in soil profiles of mango orchards of Latur district. In all 10 soil profiles at five different spacings were selected for this experiment. From each soil profile, 6 soil samples (0-15, 15-30, 30-45,45-60, 60-75, 75-90 em depth) were collected and analysed for exchangeable cations and available micronutrients. The results obtained from this investigation revealed that the bulk density and particle density of these soils ranged between 1.14 to 1.59 and 2.40 to 2.80 Mg m- with average value of 1.39 and 2.80 Mg m-3 , respectively. It was observed that bulk density of soil increased with increase in depth while no any proper trend was observed in case of particle density. The pH, EC, organic carbon and CaC03 of these soils ranged between 8 to 8.5, 0.09 to 0.16 dSm-I, 0.38 to 0.77 per cent and 41 to 177 g kg-1 with average value of 8.25, 0.13 dSm-I, 0.58 per cent, 86.50 g kg-I, respectively. Further it was found that pH and CaC03 content of these soils were increased with increase in depth while organic carbon content was decreased with increase in depth. In case of soil EC no proper trend was observed.
