Descriptif
Collection and sale of non-timber forest produce is one of the main sources of livelihood for the vast number of tribal families living in the vicinity of the forest area. Yet the tribal families sell their non-timber forest produce in the place (market) that offers the lowest price and sell at a time when the price of non-timber forest produce is lowest. The project addresses the technical and marketing problems associated with the inability of the tribal community in realising higher market price of the non-timber forest produce.
