Résumé
Grey water management and reuse is slowly gaining importance in the management of water resources. The benefits of well organized grey water management is that it offers a tool for coping with water scarcity and reduces the amount of pollution to enter the hydrological cycle. Grey water management aims on using treated grey water in applications which do not require drinking water quality. These non ‐ potable reuse applications include industrial processes, irrigation, toilet flushing and laundry washing depending on the technologies utilised in the treatment process. This thesis concentrates on building up a laboratory scale grey water treatment system. The laboratory scale grey water treatment system was set up to the facilities of Tampere University of Applied Sciences. The aim of the thesis was to build the system and to test the flow of water within the system. Thus the thesis contains a description of the whole process of setting up and testing the laboratory scale grey water treatment system
