Objectifs
The project aims at protecting the population, buildings, shops and infrastructure in Al Sabeen and Shoob areas in Sana’a city from potential damages caused by heavy floods. This will contribute to improving the conditions of the citizens and lands adjacent to the Wadi, as well as enhancing the city planning and landscape. The project also aims at collecting flood water for different purposes, such as irrigation and groundwater recharge

Descriptif
The project will contribute to the protection of the population, buildings and infrastructure from heavy flood damages in different parts of the capital Sana’a, by the construction of the required civil works. The project, is expected to be completed during 2014

Coût du projet : KD 8.7 million
Montant du prêt : KD 7.0 million
(*) 1 KD is equivalant to about = 3.3227 USD

Financement : The Arab Fund’s loan covers about 81.0% of the total project cost. The Yemeni Government will cover the remaining cost of the project and any additional cost that may arise.
