Objectif (s) : To contribute to the improved food security and livelihoods of vulnerable populations affected by successive droughts.

Activités
* Distributed 69 000 kg of improved seeds (maize, pearl millet, sorghum and wheat) and oil seeds (groundnut and sesame) to 6 900 households, of whom 60 percent were headed by women.
* Distributed 8 200 farming tools (4 100 pick axes, 3 458 shovels and 642 mattocks) to 4 300 selected farmers who had received seeds.
* Collected and provided 40 kg of bee forage to a nursey in Ghindae subregion to be multiplied and distributed to beekeepers in the surrounding areas.
* Procured and distributed 15 000 chicks and 30 000 kg of poultry feed to 600 female-headed households in all nine subregions of Northern Red Sea. Each household received 25 chicks and 50 kg of feed, enough to sustain the chicks for four months until they become layers.
* Conducted a training of trainers for 50 MoA agricultural extension staff (of whom 20 were women) in agronomic practices, basic poultry production and management, and bee forage management, who then trained 1 500 farmers in their respective subregions.

Partenaires : Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), Ministry of Local Government, National Union of Eritrean Women and community-based organizations.

Bénéficiaires : 7 500 households (37 500 people).
