Objectifs
Objectifs généraux : The goal of the proposed project is to improve incomes for at least 13 000 smallholder farmers through the reduction of postharvest losses, the improvement of produce quality and access to lucrative markets.

Objectifs spécifiques : are to : • Improve the organizational, financial and managerial capacity of targeted farmers’ organizations ; • Reduce post-harvest quantity and quality losses ; • Improve the linkage of farmers to lucrative markets.

Activités
Main activities include : • Profiling, capacity assessment and capacity building of the FBOs • Identification, selection and scaling out of postharvest technologies • Development of functional mechanisms to improve access to market for smallholder farmers • Technical backstopping and marketing support to the FBO’s and facilitation of market access

Résultats
• 13 000 men and women farmers access storage services • 5 000 men and women farmers access threshing and cleaning services • 13 000 men and women farmers trained on post-harvest handling operations • 13 000 men and women farmers trained on grade/standard and quality requirements • All targeted FOs mapped, profiled and geo-referenced
