Objectif (s) : To enable producers’ associations in Tubas Governorate gain access to quality services to enhance agricultural production and empower farming communities to sustainably develop and improve resilient livelihoods and social stability.

Activités
* Trained 283 producers on technical, managerial and financial topics customized to each producers’ specialization, including thyme, baby cucumber, olive oil and cabbage production through 18 intensive training courses. * Conducted three exchange visits to associations’ facilities to demonstrate production processes and share knowledge on dried thyme processing, certified organic olive oil production and baby cucumber production with 63 members participating. * Trained 150 producers on Good Agricultural Practices and food safety regulations through 50 in-field trainings and extension visits. * Provided the associations’ member-owned seedling nursery with 2 000 seedling trays, six plastic irrigation tanks (5 000-litre capacity), five exhaust fans, 11 insect-proof nets, six monofilament fabric sheets and six top shadow mulch sheets. * Provided baby cucumber producers’ association with 4 000 small well-ventilated plastic containers (17-kg capacity) and 250 large containers (580-kg capacity) for improved transportation and storage. * Provided thyme producers’ association with six drying units, three vacuums and one grinding machine to improve thyme drying processing. * Provided olive producers’ association with 965 ventilated plastic storage boxes and 8 000 dark glass bottles for quality packaging. * Provided 226 spare parts for irrigation networks, 226 plastic sheets for ground mulching and 158 tonnes of organic fertilizer to 226 baby cucumber producers. * Provided 32 tonnes of organic fertilizer and spare parts for irrigation networks for thyme seedling cultivation for 60 producers. * Provided 146 olive fruit harvesting nets, 584 rakes and 146 wood ladders to 71 members of the olive oil producers’ association. * Provided five desktop computers, five monitors, and five printers to the associations to use in their marketing activities and trained representatives of each the associations on branding and social media marketing. * Facilitated linkages with retail markets and established an agreement between three of the producers’ associations and a fair-trade company.
