Présentation
Based on the complementarity approach agreed by the five UN agencies under tranche 2, FAO will implement the following emergency agriculture, livestock and other livelihood activities : i) Emergency seed and tools distribution for rainy and winter season cultivation along with on the job training for the targeted beneficiaries on the adoption of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) ; ii) Emergency livestock health support services including distribution of concentrate animal feed ; iii) Restocking with small ruminants (goats/sheep) ; iv) Distribution of donkey carts with donkey to be used by the youth members of the targeted households for income generation. About 48% of the total targeted beneficiaries of 404,982 persons (67,497 households) will be supported with agricultural inputs (seeds and tools) ; about 47.5% will be supported with emergency livestock supplies and services and about 4%% will be supported with small ruminants and donkey carts with donkeys for income generation. Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) are considered among the vulnerability criteria i.e. poor household either headed by disabled person or has person with disabilities as member of the households. If certain activities are suitable to be performed by persons with disabilities, they will be given priority.
