Présentation _With CERF funds, UNICEF supports access to reliable water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services and encourage sustained hygiene practices among vulnerable girls and women in the Gaza Strip. UNICEF supports urgent repairs and maintenance to damaged water supply and waste water infrastructure, provides urgently needed water production consumables, and complements WASH utilities’ electricity needs by operating power generators at various water supply and waste water infrastructures. UNICEF also works in collaboration with WFP to provide basic life-saving hygiene kits to vulnerable women and girls to enable them to practice basic hygiene, including menstrual hygiene management for improved health and dignity, using e-vouchers. The project targets an estimated 766,200 internally displaced people, host families and other affected people with WASH services and distributes dignity and hygiene kits to 2,125 vulnerable households (including 6,375 girls and women and persons with disabilities).
