Présentation
The overall objective of this project is to reduce malnutrition by treating children with severe acute malnutrition (SAM) in targeted woredas (districts) in Oromia and Somali regions. UNICEF and its partners treat 8,467 children with severe acute malnutrition (4,233 girls and 4,234 boys), including an estimated 10 percent (847) with underlying medical complications. The project also provides preventive infant and young child feeding (IYCF) practices to about 90,186 pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers and other caregivers of children. The project provides water, sanitation and hygiene services and supplies an estimated 250,000 people. Overall, the project provides assistance to 327,653 people, including 133,696 women, 38,930 men and 155,027 children, and including 59,270 people with disabilities.
