Présentation
The main objective of this project is to mitigate disease and malnutrition risks of the projected drought shock by ensuring supply of clean water and healthy practices in Sanaag, Togdheer, Mudug, Gedo and Lower Juba regions. With the $2.25 million in CERF funding IOM is rehabilitating 10 boreholes and drilling 2 new boreholes that provide 52,000 people with clean water. In addition, IOM is rehabilitate or upgrading 13 motorized wells for 20,000 people and distributing 3,000 hygiene kits. In total, the project supports 72,000 people, including 14,400 women and 12,600 girls.
