Présentation
The main objective of this FAO project is to control the resurgence in desert locust infestations in Kenya. With CERF funding, FAO will support the government in conducting surveillance from the air and on the ground, as well as pesticide spraying. FAO/IPC estimates that 173,000 additional people could face food insecurity if the desert locust swarms are not controlled and thereby prevented from eating crops and pastureland.
