Objectif (s)
The project aims at making communities more resilient and ensuring that the most vulnerable have improved livelihood and food security (30 villages located in the district of Youwarou and Tenenkou in Mopti region and in the district of Niono in Segou region will be targeted). This overall objective will be attained by achieving the following specific objectives : 1) Vulnerable community members have access to livelihood development support 2) Vulnerable households can meet their basic needs during the lean season 3) Urgent needs are promptly addressed through a rapid response intervention.

Présentation
1.1 Support vulnerable female and men farmers (15 distributions of basic seeds and farming tools) 1.2 Support women’s associations (installation of grinding mill machines and VSLA schemes) 1.3 Support fishermen and fishermen associations (5 distributions of pirogues and fishing nets/fish hooks) 1.4 Rehabilitation of 15 family gardening plots 1.5 Rehabilitation of 7 irrigation canals, ponds, embankments including through cash for work scheme 1.6 Installation or reparation of 6 water pumps 1.7 Final participatory assessment 2.1 Identification of 750 vulnerable households 2.2 750 vulnerable households benefit from cash assistance during the lean season (3 instalments –pre-during-post lean season) 3.1 Implementation of a rapid response intervention including cash and in-kind assistance where most relevant. A specific budget line will be allocated to address, over the course of the year, any food security-related emergency affecting the targeted areas (eg. flooding, crop damages due to birds invasions or cricket swarms, cattle’s diseases, people’s displacements etc.)
