Objectif (s)  : Objective : The aim is to reduce hunger and malnutrition of under 5 years children in selected Wilayas where the vulnerability level is around 40% by restoring and securing the seed capital of mainly traditional and alternatively of imported species. FAO through this project aims to improve the food security of the most vulnerable rural households by increasing the availability of these essential commodities and by strengthening the economic capacity of these households by avoiding the cycle of debt. In addition, FAO will strengthen the government institution (CNRADA) to address the seed issue in a sustainable way and will encourage ownership of the project by the beneficiaries. The project will also strengthen the capacity of national research structures, seed quality control structures, small local cooperatives or associations (NARES) to maximize the impact of agricultural knowledge and technologies on food security.
