Improving Young People’s Access to Resources (Burkina Faso)

Burkina Faso

Titre : Improving Young People’s Access to Resources (Burkina Faso)

Pays  : Burkina Faso

Date/Durée : April 2021 — Aug 2023

Projet ID : BFA 1101-20

Description
Burkina Faso’s south-central region is predominantly populated by farmers and semi-nomadic herders, who are competing for increasingly scarce resources. The younger generation has particularly limited access to land, equipment, and knowledge. In this project, Welthungerhilfe enables people, especially young women, to improve their income opportunities. This primarily involves investments in infrastructure, e.g. to improve water supplies for people and animals. It also aims to resolve conflicts so that people can work together to address problems, such as the management of scarce resources.
