Titre : Supporting Small-Scale Farmers During the Coronavirus Crisis Sudan

Pays  : Sudan

Date/Durée : Sep 2020 — Oct 2021

Description
Due to food insecurity, Sudan often teeters on the brink of disaster. All it takes for the situation to pass its tipping point is a complicating factor - like COVID-19. Through this project in the country’s south-east, Welthungerhilfe is supporting small-scale farmers to implement anti-coronavirus hygiene measures while also providing high-yield seeds, fertiliser, and agricultural equipment, which the families can no longer purchase for themselves due to rising prices. Women here also learn how to build energy-efficient kitchen ovens, offering them an additional stream of income.
