Descriptif
After 40 years of conflict and displacement, with continuing insecurity and risk of natural hazards, security is an essential prerequisite for a peaceful future for Afghanistan. Established in 2015, Resolute Support is a NATO-led, non-combat mission to train, advise and assist the Afghan National Defence and Security Forces, who assumed nationwide responsibility for Afghanistan’s security. Its purpose is to help the Afghan security forces and institutions develop the capacity to defend Afghanistan and protect its citizens in a sustainable manner. Aligned with the priorities of the Afghan government and to support peace and justice, UNOPS has been tasked with the procurement of training services, maintenance of non-military equipment, as well as, the construction of some key facilities in major provinces.
