Objectifs
The main objectives of the study were as below : 1. To study the ecology of such faunal component, that is exposed to extreme environmental conditions of desert and adjoining Aravalli range. 2. To study the insect fauna (diversity and population density) which is known to be the most resistant group in animal kingdom in particular in these aquatic environments, 3. To compare the entomofauna in relation to the ecology of the two lakes viz. Kolayat (Bikaner) and Pushkar (Ajmer).
