Résumé
Identifying the relationship between ecosystem services and human well-being is important for achieving sustainable development, especially in desert areas where there is intense conflict between socio-economic development and ecological conservation. The Ulan Buh Desert was taken as the study area, the ecosystem service value(ESV)was calculated by the method of “the value equivalent factor in unit area” based on the land use type, and a amendment was gave based on vegetation coverage. The spatiotemporal pattern and evolution characteristics of ESV were analyzed.A subjective and objective welfare system suitable for Ulan Buh Desert was established and based on the system the welfare was evaluate.Correlation analysis and cluster analysis were used to explore the relationship between ecosystem services and human well-being in the study area The results aimed to provide scientific basis for the rational use of desert resources, ecological security construction as well as the sustainable development of regional environment and society. The main results are as follows :(1)From 1990 to 2018,the total ESV of 4 phases in Ulan Buh Desert was 592 million yuan,567 million yuan,670 million yuan and 984 million yuan, respectively, which showed a trend of decreasing first and then increasing gradually, with an overall increase of 66.22%.Regulating services were the leading ecosystem services in this area.During the study period, the characteristics of spatial differentiation were obvious. The high value area was concentrated in the east and the northeast. The low value area was concentrated in the middle part,Jilantai Salt Lake in the southwest and the mobile dune area in the southeast. The analysis of cold and hot spots in three periods showed that the ESV variation in Ulan Buh Desert had spatial aggregation, and the spatial variation was quite intense.(2)In 2018,the subjective human well-being index(3.45)in Ulan Buh Desert was significantly higher than that in 2010(3.13).Among the six types of human wellbeing factors, the security factor had no significant change, the good social relations factor was significantly decreased, and the other factors was significantly increased, indicating that the basic living standard in this region was significantly improved. At the township scale, compared with 2010,the level of subjective human well-being of all townships improved in 2018.However,in terms of spatial differentiation characteristics, the subjective human well-being of residents was higher in the east and lower in the west in 2010,and changed to higher in the west and lower in the east in 2018.(3)The objective human well-being in Ulan Buh Desert first decreased from1990 to 2000 and then increased from 2000 to 2018,which was consistent with the trend of ESV change. The trend of township scale objective human well-being change over time was similar to that of the whole study area.In terms of space, the well-being of both the subjective and the objective human well-being in each township had been improved, mainly due to the improvement of economic and material level, but the other human well-being such as education still needs to be improved.(4)All the ecosystem services in Ulan Buh desert were mainly synergistic, the subjective human well-being indicators were mainly positively correlated. There was a significant positive correlation between ESV and objective human well-being in the4 stage.ESV was spatially clustered with subjective human well-being and objective human well-being respectively, spatial zoning was conducted, and development strategies for each zoning were proposed
