Aiming at the problems of shortage of forage grass,single planting mode and soil degradation in the hilly area of the Northwest Loess Plateau,the effects of mixed sowing of different photosynthetic grass and leguminous grasses on the competition,production performance and soil chemical characteristics of forage grasses were studied.Construct a suitable mixed sowing system to improve the high-yield,high-quality and sustainable development of forage grass in the region,and provide theoretical basis and technical support for grassland construction in the semiarid area of northwestern China.This experiment was conducted from 2019 to 2020 in Xuhe Village,Touying Town,Yuanzhou District,Guyuan City,Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,using a one-way randomized group design with C3+C3(C3 mode)and C3+C4(mixed mode)were designed in the experiment.The C3 mode includes Bromus inermis+Medicago sativa(BM)and Avena sativa+Vicia sativa(AV).The mixed mode was correspondingly composed of Zea mays+Dolichos lablab(ZD)and Sorghum bicolor×S.sudanense+Dolichos lablab(SD).The mixes were all sown at a ratio of 1:1,with the corresponding grass species sown alone as a control.The main results obtained were as follows.In all mixed treatments,the land equivalent ratio(LER)was significantly higher than 1(P<0.05)and the above-ground biomass(GW)was higher than the correspond monosowing treatment.The annual mean value of GW in the ZD combination was 29.27 t ?hm-2,which was higher than that of the other mixed sowing treatments,and the yield increase rate of this combination was significantly higher than that of the other three mixed sowing treatments(P<0.05).The yield increas rate of mixed sowing system in descending order is ZD(62.83%)>SD(52.29%)>BM(39.26%)>AV(27.22%).The oat component in the AV combination has the highest yield increas contribution rate(142.79%)
