Top-Down cracks cause damage to the overall structure of the asphalt pavement,allowing other foreign impurities such as precipitation to enter the asphalt pavement structure along the Top-Down cracks,thus affecting the performance of the asphalt pavement.In view of this,in this paper,the physical geography of semi-arid areas,the types of asphalt pavement diseases and the distribution characteristics of top-down cracks are obtained through statistical sorting.Based on fracture mechanics,the surface cracks in asphalt pavement under tip field and load were analyzed,and the crack cracking theory was analyzed based on temperature field gradient Top-Down.Through asphalt mixture test and finite element simulation,the effects of raw material properties,load stress and temperature on pavement Top-Down crack disease are compared and analyzed.Based on the engineering practice,the performance analysis of anti-Top-Down crack cracking test road was carried out.The main findings of this paper are as follows.(1)Through the investigation and analysis of the geographical geomorphology,engineering geology,meteorological and hydrological data along the typical road in the semi-arid area of Hebei Province ;Collect traffic volume and load condition data ;Through data analysis and data extraction,the distribution characteristics and primary causes of Top-Down crack diseases in Hebei expressway were obtained.(2)According to the triaxial repeated load test,results of freeze-thaw splitting test,splitting test and trabecular bending test,compared with SBS modified asphalt mixture,the number of load cycles of rubber and plastic modified asphalt mixture reaches 5%permanent deformation,which increases by 17.5%.Compared with SBS modified asphalt mixture,the freeze-thaw splitting strength ratio of rubber-plastic modified asphalt mixture increases by5.8%.The splitting tensile strength of rubber-plastic modified asphalt mixture is 10.6%higher than that of SBS modified asphalt mixture.The splitting tensile strength of rubber-plastic modified asphalt mixture is 10.6%higher than that of SBS modified asphalt mixture.The flexural tensile strength of rubber-plastic modified asphalt mixture is 25.4%higher than that of SBS modified asphalt mixture.The rubber-plastic modified asphalt mixture has better high temperature performance,water stability,tensile performance and low temperature crack resistance.(3)The stress intensity factor at the crack tip increased from 77.4k Pa·m1/2to143.8k Pa·m1/2with the increase of the standard axle load tire pressure of 0.7MPa to the overload tire pressure of 1.6MPa.Surface shear stress controlled by axle load is the main factor of crack cracking and propagation of Top-Down pavement.Overloading is an important cause of Top-Down crack propagation.(4)According to the numerical simulation results,the maximum tensile stress of the surface layer generated when the temperature drops from 0℃to-20℃is 6.5 times of the maximum shear stress.The lower the initial temperature,the greater the tensile stress of the surface layer.Top-Down cracks are easy to occur on the road surface.(5)The mixture ratio of rubber and plastic modified asphalt mixture was designed and produced.The water stability and high temperature performance of rubber-plastic modified asphalt mixture were tested.In this paper,the rolling process of the rubber-modified asphalt mixture test section was adjusted,and the compaction,water penetration coefficient,construction depth and levelling index were tested and analysed,and the results showed that rubber modified asphalt mixture had good road performa
