Résumé
The knowledge of moisture retention curves becomes an important input to develop the irrigation program. CRH had usually been determinated by traditional methods as pressure plate method. Recently has appeared a new technology, fast, efficient and precise, that allows its determination, HYPROP 2 soil measurements. However, this technology hasn’t been used amply, neither has been investigation about it, particulary in spanish culture. The objective of this research was to compare the curves obtained with both technologies (HYPROP 2 and pressure plates) and use their results in a program irrigation protocol, that will be exportable to Spanish idiom culture. For it, first we take soil samples from the experimental place (fruit trees plot from vegetable production department from UPV) using two depths, 25 and 50 cm which were taken disturb and undisturb samples because the technologies used require this kind of samples to work. At the same time, it was installed moisture sensors at the plot, called capacitance probes that Works with FDR technology, under a Kumquat tree into the same two depths previously mentioned and on two different points, under irrigation emitter, and 50 cm away from the irrigation emitter, to know volumetric moisture of the soil. After this, the soil samples were evaluated in soils unit from vegetable production department, determining the texture with Bouyoucos method. The results using both technologies were evaluated and compare with other ́s researchs bibliography. CRH were ilustrated by HYPROP- FIT among 23,7% and 15,9%, corresponding with CC and PMP, while it was 26,9% and 12,6% by using the pressure plates method. In that way, the irrigation number of applications was 57 in a year, with a 538 mm of water supply using HYPROP2, while was 52 and 548 mm of water supply by pressure plates, with not big differences between those technologies in irrigation program, concluding that HYPROP 2 becomes and easy, fast, and efficient technology able to develop a good irrigation program to crops production
